MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 361

CREATING AN INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE TO CONDUCT A THOROUGH STUDY TO IMPROVE THE COUNTRY’S INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC AIRPORT SECURITY SYSTEM

There is hereby created an Inter-Agency Task Force to conduct a thorough study on how to improve the country’s international and domestic airport security system so as to ensure the safety of air travellers. The Task Force shall likewise prepare a comprehensive plan for the effective and efficient implementation of the airport security system.

The Task Force shall be composed of the following:

Chairman Secretary, Department of Interior and Local Government
Vice Chairman Secretary, Department of Transportation and Communication
Members Secretary, Department of Budget and Management
  Secretary, Department of National Defense
  Secretary, Department of Justice
  Assistant Secretary, Air Transportation Office
  Commissioner, Bureau of Immigration
  Commissioner, Bureau of Customs
  General Manager, Ninoy Aquino International Airport
  General Manager, Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority
  Heads, Domestic Airports
  Head, National Action Committee on Anti-Hijacking and Anti-Terrorism

The Task Force shall submit a monthly progress report to the Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary. The first progress report shall be submitted within thirty (30) days from the issuance of this Order and the plan not later than 30 June 1996.
