PROCLAMATION NO. 503

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 14 TO 20, 1994 AS PURCHASING AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT WEEK

WHEREAS, the Purchasing and Materials Management Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PMMAP), is a non-stock, non-profit organization of purchasing and materials managers from the country’s top corporations;

WHEREAS, this November, the PMMAP will celebrate its 27th Anniversary in Manila on the theme: “WORD CLASS LOGISTICS FOR PHILIPPINES 2000”;

WHEREAS, in line with the goals of Philippines 2000, purchasing and materials managers and PMMAP must help upgrade the quality and competitiveness of Philippine goods and services, for both the domestic and foreign markets

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 14 to 20, 1994, as Purchasing and Materials Management Week.
