PROCLAMATION NO. 740

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 2216, DATED JULY 1, 1982, RESERVING A PARCEL OF LAND SURROUNDING THE “PEOPLE’S PARK IN THE SKY” AREA WITH A ONE THOUSAND METER RADIUS THEREOF, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF TAGAYTAY, ISLAND OF LUZON, FOR RECREATIONAL, TOURISM, SCIENTIFIC, PLANNED AREA FOR NEW DEVELOPMENT AND SIMILAR PURPOSES TO BE ADMINISTERED AND MANAGED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF TAGAYTAY

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Tourism and the City Government of Tagaytay, and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby reserve, for recreational, tourism, scientific, planned area for new development, and similar purposes, subject to prior existing rights, if any there be, and to future survey, a parcel of land of the public domain situated in the City of Tagaytay, Island of Luzon, which is more particularly described as follows:

1. Beginning at a point marked “1” which is identical to CBM No. 22 of Tagaytay Cadastre, CAD 355;

2. And all areas covering a one thousand (1,000) meter radius, with the center of the “People’s Park in the Sky” as the reckoning point thereof.

The Department of Tourism and the City Government of Tagaytay shall undertake the necessary development activities in pursuance of this proclamation with the assistance of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and other agencies concerned.

Proclamation No. 2216 issued July 1, 1982 is hereby modified and/or amended accordingly.
