PROCLAMATION NO 879

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE CANCER SOCIETY, INC., TO CONDUCT

A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., was authorized under Proclamation No. 677, dated October 12, 1995, to conduct a national fund campaign up to October 12, 1996;

WHEREAS, to enable the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., to carry out its fight against cancer, it is necessary that its fund campaign be extended for another year;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
