PROCLAMATION NO. 1130

DECLARING THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS NATIONAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES’ WEEK

WHEREAS

, excellence in public service depends greatly on the performance and dedication of government officials and employees;

WHEREAS

, it is necessary to recognize the best effort of government employees and encourage them to achieve efficiency in the public service;

WHEREAS

, one of the incentives towards excellence in public service is to focus attention on the invaluable services rendered by deserving government employees and underscore their invaluable contribution to nation building; and

WHEREAS

, the nation gratefully appreciates the services rendered by our civil servants;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS

, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the first week of December of every year as National Government Employees’ Week under the auspices of the Philippine Government Employees Association and other government employees organizations.
