PROCLAMATION NO. 333

DECLARING THE MONTH OF AUGUST AS “VOLLEYBALL MONTH”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Amateur Volleyball Association (PAVA) will host the Southeast Asian Youth Championships for men and women on August 13 to 17, 1994;

WHEREAS, the Asian Volleyball Confederation of Japan will bring the 7th Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championships to Manila on August 21 to 23, 1994;

WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus national attention on the occasion and to stimulate greater awareness of and involvement in the sport both in the grass roots and elite levels;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me law, do hereby declare the month of August 1994 as “Volleyball Month” under the auspices of the Philippine Amateur Volleyball Association.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
