DECLARING THE MONTH OF JUNE OF EVERY YEAR

“




NATIONAL KIDNEY MONTH”

WHEREAS,

about 6,000 deaths occur every year nationwide due to serious kidney ailments; and

WHEREAS,

it is necessary to instill consciousness and increase public awareness of the fatal consequences of renal diseases;

NOW, THEREFORE,I, FIDEL V. RAMOS,

President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of June of every year as “National Kidney Month”.

The National Kidney Institute shall be the lead agency in the implementation of this Proclamation.
