PROCLAMATION NO. 1079

DECLARING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 1997 AS NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION MONTH

WHEREAS

, the construction industry constitutes an important segment of the industrial sector and contributes significantly to the country’s economy;

WHEREAS

, the construction industry plays a vital role in the attainment of the country’s infrastructure development goals under Philippines 2000;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS

, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of November 1997 as “National Construction Month” under the auspices of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) and the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA).
