DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 5 TO 11, 1995 AS “CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK”

WHEREAS

, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), is an association of Civil Engineers, both in the government and private sectors, duly accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission;

WHEREAS

, the Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) will hold its National Convention and Annual Election from November 9 to 11, 1995 in Manila;

WHEREAS

, there is a need to focus public attention on the importance of the Civil Engineering profession and its role in nation-building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS

, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 9 to 11, 1995 as “Civil Engineering Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE).

I call upon all civil engineers, educators and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
