DECLARING THE THIRD WEEK OF JANUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS

PHILIPPINE KIWANIS WEEK

WHEREAS,

every January, Kiwanis worldwide celebrate its Foundation Anniversary;

WHEREAS,

in the Philippines, Kiwanians during this week undertake different civic projects in their areas, such as “Mini Olympic Games for Retarded Children,” Medical and Dental Missions, Bloodletting, and other community projects;

WHEREAS,

there is a need to focus national attention on the laudable objectives and projects of the Kiwanians in the Philippines.

NOW, THEREFORE

FIDEL V. RAMOS

, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the third week of January of every year as PHILIPPINES KIWANIS WEEK.
