PROCLAMATION NO. 813

DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 4, 1996 AS PHILIPPINE RETIREMENT AUTHORITY DAY

WHEREAS,

the Philippine Retirement Authority celebrates on Thursday, July 4, 1996, its 11th year of leadership in promoting the growth and servicing the needs of the Philippine retirement industry;

WHEREAS,

PRA, through the years has most successfully discharged this function through effective partnership, teamwork and collaboration with various agencies, both in the government and in the private sectors;

WHEREAS,

PRA, has chosen to celebrate this anniversary around a very special theme, “Growth, Progress and Development through Partnership, Collaboration and Teamwork”;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS,

President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, July 4, 1996, as “Philippine Retirement Authority Day”. All departments, agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby directed to continue to lend full support and cooperation to the Authority in its endeavors in promoting the Philippines as a retirement haven for foreign nationals and overseas, as well as former, Filipinos.
