Good morning ladies and gentlemen, our co-workers here in Malacañang. Once more we are gathered at the flag raising to start the week right by pledging our loyalty and services to the flag, to the constitution and to the republic. Henceforth, we expect that this ceremony that takes place every Monday morning, we will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. And if we did it at other times in the last two weeks, that was just by way of testing what is the best time for all to start this weekly ritual. And I find that 6:00 is too early, 9:00 is too late and so, we begin at 8: 00. As like other offices in the government, what we are supposed to do is just the right time.
On something a little higher, I would like that we all review the pronouncements of the President during last week’ s flag ceremony, especially, a reiteration of what I told you last week about the need for teamwork. The need for teamwork applies really to the country as a whole and not just to the good minds of our Office of the President and other units here in Malacañang. Teamwork especially applies to the solidarity and the unity that must exist within the government and the public at large. And this is where each of us who are here in a position of influence or even if we are just with the rank and files, can set the examples.
So, this is our lesson for the week and i am hoping that next week, we shall begin at 8 :00. Salamat po sa inyong lahat.
