The U.S. Military Academy Class of 1950 (USMA ’50) celebrated their 75th Reunion from May 18–20, 2025 at West Point, New York. Seven proud graduates from Class 1950 attended the milestone event, honoring the occasion with their inspiring presence and enduring camaraderie.

A highlight of the reunion was the Cadet Review and Wreath Laying Ceremony, led by USMA ’50 graduate and centenarian Ralph Pinto. The ceremony was a moving tribute to the legacy of the Class of 1950 and was followed by the Distinguished Graduate Awards, recognizing alumni who exemplify West Point’s enduring motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.” Among past honorees is Fidel V. Ramos, recognized in 2000 as a Distinguished Graduate.

Fidel V. Ramos graduated in the top 10% of his class of 670 cadets. He went on to serve with distinction in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, alongside many of his classmates—some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. While many members of the Class of 1950, including FVR, are no longer with us, their legacy endures through their families, their fellow graduates, and the unbroken bond of the Long Gray Line.

Photos of the event were taken by FVR’s granddaughter Jelly Ramos Jalasco, who attended the reunion on behalf of the Ramos family.
