DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF APARRI, CAGAYAN

I,

FIDEL V. RAMOS

, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare, upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Council, a state of public calamity in the Municipality of Aparri, Cagayan which has been adversely affected by harsh weather, specifically by a severe cold spell, which has reportedly killed at least twenty-five (25) people. I also hereby authorize the release from the calamity fund of One Million Pesos (P1,000,000.00) to support the on-going relief operations being undertaken by the National Disaster Coordinating Council.
