DECLARING THE MONTH OF JUNE OF EVERY YEAR AS

“




NATIONAL NO SMOKING MONTH”

WHEREAS,

as part of the awareness campaign on the ill-effects of cigarette smoking, the Department of Health is joining the World Health Organization in the annual celebration of the “World No Tobacco Day”; and

WHEREAS,

there is a need to focus national attention to the dangers of smoking.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS,

President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of June of every year as “National No Smoking Month”
