MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 142

ENCOURAGING ALL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES AND OFFICES, INCLUDING GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR, TO EXTEND ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO THE ORGANIZERS OF INTERNET WORLD CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION – PHILIPPINES 1996

The Internet World Conference and Exhibition will be held on September 23-26, 1996 at the Shangri-La EDSA Plaza Hotel, Mandaluyong City as part of the observance of Information Technology (IT) Year this year pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 655 issued last September 19, 1995.

All government departments, agencies and offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations are encouraged to extend such assistance and support as may be necessary to ensure the successful observance of this premier world event. All are also enjoined to provide the organizers of the event all available information materials citing the gains achieved by the country under the leadership of President Fidel V. Ramos.

Non-government organizations and those in the private sector are also urged to extend their full support and cooperation to this world-class conference and exhibition to showcase the best of Philippine IT products and give them access to business applications and solutions of Internet-related products and services.
